What is Jazz Fest?

If you want to experience first-hand all the food, music, culture and fun of TABASCO® and PepperFest®, you've got to go to Jazz Fest.

Jazz Fest (that's short for The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival) is one of the premier music and arts festivals in the world. Not to be outdone by our other big party, Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest has developed a reputation over the years for its humongous roster of international bands, wonderful Louisiana cuisine, displays of contemporary and folk art, and an all 'round good time. For ten days every spring, more than 4,000 musicians play for over 450,000 people - everything from jazz, zydeco and Afro-Caribbean to folk, blues and gospel - on 12 different stages. In fact, the whole city gets in on the act, gearing up for the two week event, and award-winning musicians fly in from far and wide to play at the festival and at clubs all over town.

So come on down and join us and be sure to read our survival tips. You see, natives understand two things: 1) You've got to be prepared; 2) Jazz Fest is just as much about the food as it is about the music. (So whatever you do, don't eat before you go.)
