Microwave Munchies 101

Hot, Fast and Out of Control – Microwave Recipes with TABASCO®

The All-Nighter

  • 8-ounces Mountain Dew®
  • 2-ounces Red Bull® Energy Drink
  • Dash of Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce

Combine ingredients in a glass and add ice.

Asian Noodle Soup

  • 1 package instant rice noodle soup
  • Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce, to taste

Prepare soup according to microwave instructions. Stir in Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce.

Bestest Breakfast Burrito

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk or water
  • Splash of TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce
  • 1 flour tortilla
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese

Beat eggs and milk together in a microwavable bowl; microwave about 1 minute, stirring once during process until eggs are fully scrambled (no remaining egg liquid is visible). Add a splash of TABASCO® Green Sauce to eggs and spoon onto tortilla; top with cheese and roll up.

Blazin’ Bagels

  • Cream cheese
  • Bagel, cut in half
  • TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce

Spread cream cheese on bagel and zap just until soft; drizzle with TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce and serve.

Cheesy Bean Roll-Up

  • Refried beans
  • TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce, to taste
  • Flour tortilla
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese

Combine refried beans and TABASCO® Green Sauce and mix well. Spoon across middle of tortilla and sprinkle cheese on top; roll up and nuke until cheese melts.

Cheesy Chipotle Nachos

  • Corn chips or potato chips
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese
  • TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce

Place chips on a microwavable plate and top with cheese; drizzle with TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce and nuke until cheese melts.

Cheesy Jalapeño Grits

  • 1 package instant grits
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese
  • TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce, to taste

Prepare grits according to microwave directions on package. Add cheese and TABASCO® Green Sauce and stir until cheese melts.

Chili Corn Chip Pie

  • Chili
  • TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce, to taste
  • Corn chips
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese

Combine chili and TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce in a microwavable bowl and mix well; zap in microwave. Spoon over corn chips and top with cheese.

Chocolate Skinny Dip

  • Chocolate-flavored cake frosting
  • Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce, to taste
  • Bananas, strawberries, apples, or other fresh fruit sliced for dipping

Place frosting in a microwavable bowl; zap until warmed and stir in Original TABASCO® Sauce. Take fruit for a dip and enjoy!

Cocoa Loco

  • 1 packet instant hot cocoa
  • Dash of TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce

Prepare hot cocoa in microwave as indicated on package. Stir in TABASCO® Habanero Sauce and serve.

Coed Cracker Snackers

  • TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce
  • Crackers
  • Thinly sliced deli meat
  • Thinly sliced cheese

Shake a dash of TABASCO® Green Sauce on each cracker before piling on meat and cheese. Zap for a few seconds in microwave until cheese melts.

Crazy Habanero Popcorn

  • Butter
  • Several dashes TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce
  • 1 package microwave popcorn
  • Peanut M&M’S® Chocolate Candy (optional)

Place butter in a small microwavable bowl and zap until melted; stir in TABASCO® Habanero Sauce. Prepare popcorn as indicated on package and pour into a large bowl. Drizzle Habanero butter over popcorn and toss well. If desired, stir in a handful or two of peanut candies.

Creamy Chipotle Salad Sauce

  • Ranch or blue cheese salad dressing
  • Splash of TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce

Combine dressing and TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce and use as a dressing, sauce, or dip for salads, sandwiches, burgers, chicken wings, French fries, and more.

Ducky Dip

  • Asian duck sauce
  • TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce, to taste

Combine duck sauce and TABASCO® Habanero Sauce in a microwavable bowl and nuke just until warm.

Habanero “Grilled” Cheese Sandwich

  • Butter
  • 2 to 3 dashes TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce
  • Thinly sliced cheese
  • 2 slices bread

Soften butter in microwave and stir in TABASCO® Habanero Sauce; spread butter mixture on one slice of bread and top with cheese. Place remaining slice of bread on cheese and spread butter mixture on top of sandwich. Toast in a toaster oven until golden brown.

Holy Guacamole

  • Guacamole
  • TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce to taste
  • Tortilla chips

Combine guacamole and TABASCO® Green Sauce and mix well. Serve with chips.

Mackin’ Cheese

  • 1 package microwavable macaroni & cheese dinner
  • TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce, to taste

Prepare macaroni and cheese as indicated on package; stir in TABASCO® Habanero Sauce.

PB & J Bagel

  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Dash of Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce
  • Bagel, cut in half

Combine peanut butter, jelly, and Original TABASCO® Sauce in a small bowl and mix well. Spread onto bagel halves and zap in microwave.

Smoky Beanwich

  • Pork and beans or baked beans
  • TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce, to taste
  • 1 slice bread
  • Thinly sliced cheese

Combine beans and TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce and mix well; spoon on bread and top with cheese. Broil in toaster oven or zap in microwave until cheese melts.

Spicy Fruity Yogurt Dip

  • 1 container vanilla- or fruit-flavored yogurt
  • 1 small banana, mashed
  • TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce, to taste
  • Strawberries, apple slices, graham crackers, or cookies

Combine yogurt, banana, and TABASCO® Habanero Sauce and mix well. Use as a dip for fresh fruit or cookies.

Spicy Spaghetti Sauce

  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Combine spaghetti sauce and Original TABASCO® Sauce in a microwavable bowl and nuke until hot. Stir in a little cheese and use as a sauce for hot pasta, hamburger patties, baked potatoes, pizza, and bread sticks.

Spiked Ketchup

  • Ketchup
  • Dash of Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce

Combine ketchup and Original TABASCO® Sauce. Use as a dip for fries, burgers, and more.

Tamales in Chili Sauce

  • Hot tamales
  • Chili
  • TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce, to taste
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese

Place tamales in a microwavable dish. Mix chili and TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce and pour over tamales. Sprinkle with cheese and nuke until heated through.

Va-Va-Voom Veggies

  • 1 can vegetables, such as corn, peas or green beans, drained
  • Butter or margarine, to taste
  • Splash of TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce

Place vegetables in a microwavable bowl with butter and TABASCO® Green Sauce; zap until hot and stir.
